Dematerialisation of Shares

Convert physical share certificates into electronic (demat) form before any further servicing.

Since April 2024, transfers of physical shares are no longer permitted — every service request requires the shares to first be in demat form. Dematerialisation involves opening a demat account in the same name pattern as the certificate, lodging the original certificates with your depository participant, and waiting for the RTA to confirm the credit.

We coordinate the DP, prepare the Demat Request Form (DRF), ensure your folio is KYC-compliant before lodging (the most common reject reason), and follow up until the credit appears in your demat statement.
